The number of accommodation providers in our area indicates just how popular this part of the Solway Coast is as a holiday destination. Listed below are details of many of the holiday cottages available to let. Some participate in the Scottish Tourist Board grading scheme and have high listings with 3 stars or more. Others do not participate in the scheme, but this does not indicate any lesser quality or service. For peak times you are advised to book early.

Tigh na Bruaich
Single storey wood chalet approximately two hundred yards from Carrick Bay. The bay is a place of unspoilt natural beauty, boasting a nice sandy beach suitable for swimming.
The chalet faces the sea, with open farmland and the Galloway hills to the rear. Three double bedrooms, lounge etc.

Buie, Twynholm
The bright and comfortable cottage in Twynholm village has a gas fire and a colour television with integrated video recorder. There are two bedrooms: one with a full size double bed, the other has twin beds. Internally it is on a single level and there is only one step at the front door, making it suitable for the less-abled or elderly visitor.

The Chalet
The Chalet offers private accommodation for two people and is set in the countryside close to Kirkcudbright. Is well equipped and has its own garden in which to enjoy the panoramic views. Short/weekend breaks a speciality.

Lake Cottage
Lake Cottage is situated in the little hamlet of The Lake, just 2.5 miles south of Kirkcudbright on the shores of Kirkcudbright Bay. It is one of very few properties in Kirkcudbright with a full waterfront view. With four bedrooms and two bathrooms it sleeps seven. Wood parquet floors grace the lounge, library and hallway and an AGA stove and central heating, keeps everything cozy.

Shilfa - Carrich Shore
"Shilfa" is a spacious beach house with a verandah, only a stone's throw from the beautiful Carrick Shore. The accommodation consists of entrance hall off which there is a tiled bathroom with shower over the bath. A door leads into a spacious living room with fitted kitchen. The two bedrooms are off the living area, one a double bedroom, the other a twin bedded room containing two single beds.

High Kirkland
A small holiday development consisting of three high quality self-catering units converted from the house and buildings. The cottages form part of what was previously a small croft approximately 1 mile from Kirkcudbright. All cottages are traditional stone built, and completely modernised to a high standard, with double glazing throughout.

The Waterhouse
The Waterhouse is a unique recently built oak framed, glass fronted, luxury hand crafted, eco-holiday house set in 1 acre of beautiful private gardens (open under Scotland's Garden Scheme). It has a large sun deck overhanging a large pond. An outside heated hot tub is hugely popular with guests,

Bothy Cottage, Ringford
A two bedroomed, single storey, semi-detached cottage, which is attached to the owner's house but completely self contained, with its own entrance and parking. Recently converted from a farm steading, the Bothy is double-glazed throughout and there is underfloor heating and radiators if required, and there is ample car parking. It will sleep up to four people.

This equestrian and trekking centre was once a traditional dairy farm which recently had redundant farmyard buildings converted into four high quality self catering cottages; The Barn, The Cheese Loft, The Stable and The Dairy Cottage.
